5 Quick Health Tips

Be Active

You don't have to join a gym or start (and stop) some intense exercise program. The body requires some physical activity each day - part of the immune system, for example, requires muscular contraction, as in walking, to be effective. As far as quick health tips go, simply look at your current level of physical activity, and then find some way that you like to get a little more.

Drink plenty of water

Of all quick health tips, number one is "Drink water!" Virtually every job that the body performs requires water and the body functions at its best when fully hydrated. Unfortunately, coffee, tea, sodas and sports drinks are not handled by the body the way water is, so try to avoid them if you can. Follow the general rule of eight glasses of water a day, and you can’t go wrong, although different people need different amounts. Simply, drink enough water every day.
Manage stress

Managing negative stress is absolutely vital for health, both physical and emotional. You could do things for your body that are very healthy, but if you don't manage negative stress effectively, all your efforts are wasted. That is mainly because stressful situations cause your body to secrete hormones that get you to "run from danger" – these hormones are destructive if they are constantly being produced.
Eat right. Eat healthy

Food, nutrition and health go hand-in-hand. There's a lot of information about nutrition and health that once you understand and can use it, will vastly improve your health. Remember to get fresh fruits or vegetables in your diet. Pick a fruit and/or fresh veggie each day and simply get yourself used to having some regularly.
Sleep well. Sleep right

Work on improving the quality and quantity of your sleep if you don't sleep well or get enough sleep. Yes, you CAN do things to improve your sleep apart from taking sleep medication or a shot of whiskey before you go to bed! Drinking enough water, improving nutrition, getting some physical activity and managing stress will all lead to better quality of sleep.
